Chocolate Without Calories, Chocolate Pearls

We all love chocolate, at least everyone I know loves chocolate. There's something very sensual about it. There has been an influx of chocolate into the jewelry industry, chocolate gold, diamonds, and chocolate pearls.

Chocolate pearls were introduced in 2000 and are very popular today. These pearls have a bronze, copper, or rust brown hue with very strong iridescent overtones. Sound beautiful, don't they. They are, shiny and smooth, looking like a box of miniature candies.

Most chocolate pearls begin as Tahitian black pearls. Once harvested they are treated with a bleaching agent to achieve the chocolate color. Most freshwater cultured pearls are made brown with a silver nitrate dyeing process.

Due to the popularity of the color, many companies are making chocolate pearls by using less expensive pearls and dyeing them. It doesn't really matter how they get their color. Most of us are not wealthy enough to afford the more expensive ones, so we can still get the look for less.

Chocolate pearls pair very well with gold, but also look nice with silver. They are particularly beautiful with earth toned clothing and flatter most skin and hair colors. So get your chocolate fix without adding extra pounds and try some chocolate pearl jewelry.
